What is difference between printer cartridge and printer toner?

Printer Toner - Black (or Colored) powder mainly carbon black mixed with resin, which actually is the ink for a laser printer. When we took print outs this carbon particles are fixed on paper in shape of letters and pictures.

Printer cartridge refers to a broader term. It may be a toner cartridge (for Laser printer) or ink cartridge (for Ink jet printers). Print cartridge for a laser printer would contain the toner housing, dispensing gears, sensing mechanism etc. along with toner in it.

Earlier printers and copiers used to be designed with option of only adding toner when required. Present day high end printers also use toner pouch. However for smaller printers all the manufacturers has started designing only cartridge for commercial benefit. What is difference between printer cartridge and printer toner?
printer cartridge is for colour printer or we can say for desk jet printer and where as toner is concern it is for laser printer for black copiesWhat is difference between printer cartridge and printer toner?
there is no difference. its just terminology.

well actually a catridge contains toner. toner is the ink. but the terms can be used interchangeably
Both are printer cartridges (really) but usually it refers to the inkjet cartridges. Toner cartridges are usually in laserjet type printers.

The difference is that inkjets spray the ink on the paper and toner is more of a powder and fused (using heat) to the paper.

Color laserjets use color toner and black laserjets use black toner.

Inkjets are almost always color.
