Dell toner cartridge low? already?

i have a dell 1700n laser printer that has a brand new toner cartridge but it already says toner low. does any one know where the ink sensor is on the cartridge? I would like to try to cover the sensor to see if that helps. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.Dell toner cartridge low? already?
If it's the one that came with the printer when you bought it, they only put at most a third of the toner in it.

That's because they make more money out of the toner than the printer so they make you buy a new one soon after you buy it.

All you have to do is hit the ';Cancel (red X)'; button on the printer when it says ';Ink low'; and it will go ahead and print. I think that the Dell company makes their printers so that after using only half of the ink, it will tell you that the ink is low so that you will give the company more money and buy more ink cartridges. My Dell printer has been telling me that the ink is low for the longest, but I just hit the cancel button, and it prints all of my pages just fine, the ink is not light at all. I say keep printing with that cartridge until you notice the ink getting lighter.
if its the cartridge that came with it, then yea its gonna be low since there is not much in there
it can be surprising how quick it happens
